HELI HIKING

Don't work for the view, work with the view on our heli-hiking adventure into the Coast Mountains

Explore Whistler’s best hiking without the crowds

Our exclusive tenure in Southwest British Columbia, which encompasses eight different mountain regions, is characteristically diverse and permits our team of professionally certified guides to choose heli-hiking terrain that suits your ability level and personal goals. British Columbia has some of the greatest hiking in the world - on a day of heli hiking you get to combine the thrill of flying high above the mountains with the ease of accessing some of the best terrains without having to work hard to get there! Heli hikes can be for those wanting an easy trek with incredible views, or for those that want to tackle harder terrain - with a head-start on the elevation.

Heli-hikes depart from our Whistler Base at the Whistler Heliport and are available from July to October (snowpack dependent).

    • Seasoned Level: off-trail, low to steeper angled terrain and/or a more aerobic pace; small to large talus/scree slopes and perhaps a little travel on easy but firm snow; enjoys aesthetics and also values mileage; seasoned hiker, comfortable in committing sections of travel, able to move smoothly in off-trail conditions, moderate or greater amounts of elevation gain and/or loss.
